Victoria and Vancouver Island
DroneLink flights on Vancouver Island are flown by Elite Drone Solutions, a Transport Canada certified operator based in Victoria, British Columbia, with Advanced operations certification. That covers Greater Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, the Western Communities, the Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo and the rest of the island as schedules allow.
Travel to remote sites, the Gulf Islands and the west coast is planned into the scope, including ferries and weather days. Tell us the address when you order and we confirm the plan before you approve anything.
How an order outside Vancouver Island works

We find a certified local operator
We check that the operator holds the certificates, insurance and equipment the job needs, in the country and province or state where the site is. We do this before you commit.
They fly to our scope
The operator flies to the scope you approved, with the same file formats and naming, and uploads to your DroneLink record.
You review in one place
Proofs, comments, approvals and invoices stay on the record, whoever flew the site.
The network is being built
We are building the operator network across Canada and the United States now. We do not publish a list of cities, because coverage should mean a certified operator we have checked, not a pin on a map. If your site is outside Vancouver Island, send the address and we tell you plainly whether we can serve it and when.

Questions
Do you fly outside Victoria?
Yes. Vancouver Island is flown directly, and travel is planned into the scope. Outside the island, we assign the order to a certified local operator once we have confirmed one is available.
Can you fly in the United States?
Orders in the United States are flown by FAA Part 107 certified operators in our network. Send the address and we confirm availability before you commit.
Is the pilot the same company that invoices me?
You order from and are invoiced by DroneLink. The flight is carried out by Elite Drone Solutions on Vancouver Island, or by the assigned operator elsewhere, named on your record.
How do you check a network operator?
We check certificates, insurance, equipment and experience for the type of work before assigning an order, and every flight follows the scope you approved.
Can I order for several sites in different provinces?
Yes. Each site gets its own record and operator, and you see all of them in one account. The client portal that shows every site together is coming.
What if nobody is available near my site?
We tell you so before you commit. Sometimes the answer is a scheduled trip; sometimes it is that we cannot serve that area yet.
